Vision/Mission

Vision61mission

“Where there is no vision, the people perish (Reference Proverbs 29:18)…”

So what is the vision?

Our foundation, the Word, from Isaiah 61:1-3

“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.”

…and also from Galatians 6:1

“Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.”

Vision61’s vision and mission is to share the good news.  The good news that Jesus has set an appointed time for freedom and joy (Isaiah 61:1-3).  He has already paid the price, with His life, for this freedom.  It is not His will that any should perish, but that all would have life and have it to the full (John 10:10).  There is freedom from every chain and prison (Acts 16:25-26).  We are here to help carry one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:1-2), and to help recover those that are in the snare of bondage (2 Timothy 2:26).  We want to pray for you, and with you.  We want to share testimony of those who have already overcame strongholds, a reminder that there is a Hope.  And we look forward to one day hearing testimony from you.

It is time for freedom from depression and oppression.  It is time to recover those who have been held captive by hurts, habits, addictions, self-destructive behaviors, etc.  It is time to Build, Raise Up, and Repair.

“So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free…” ~Galatians 5:1a
